VGB POWERTECH E.V. becomes vgbe energy e.V.
Nomen est omen: energy is us!
vgbe energy e.V. We are energy – now also clearly visible in the new association name.
Since the founding of the “Vereinigung der Großkesselbesitzer e.V.” in 1920, the association has always kept pace with changes in the energy industry. Developments that have also been expressed in the changed association names in our 102-year history.
In September 2021, we added an additional “e” to our association’s abbreviation and since then we have presented ourselves under the “vgbe” brand and the motto “Energy is us”. With this new claim and extended abbreviation, vgbe highlights and underlines its claim and mission to actively promote together with its members and the energy industry the transformation of the future energy system and related future technologies for an environmentally friendly, secure, economic and affordable energy supply.
On April 19, 2022, the new name vgbe energy e.V. was entered in the register of associations, thus rounding off the new brand identity. The renaming of the service company to vgbe energy service GmbH was also entered in the commercial register.
vgbe stands for “vision generation benefit”. Behind the new brand there is also a clear call – “be”! vgbe thus sees itself as an active, acting partner in energy supply: be energised, be inspired, be connected, be informed. We see ourselves as communicator, bridge and platform for our members and the energy sector and as technology-neutral association, vgbe provides the necessary input and impetus for future energy supply.
