vgbe energy e.V. honours long-standing members

vgbe energy e.V. has honoured members of the vgbe committee TC Performance Indicators (TC PI), with the vgbe pin of honour.

The objective of the vgbe committee, which has been existing since 1969, was to establish terms, definitions and rules for data collection and calculation methods, for example for availability indicators. This provided an important basis for the exchange of experience in power plant operation: a standardised language and a clear understanding of how this operation could be represented in data in a comparable way.

The exchange and analysis of operating results led to the objective exchange of experience, which contributed to increasing the availability of installed power plant capacity and thus to avoiding additional investments in further power plant capacity. Above all, this was available more quickly than the expansion would have been able to achieve.

Today, the results of this international vgbe exchange of experience are calculated in the power plant information system (KISSY) and published annually in technical-scientific reports. Such definitions for operating parameters are continuously adapted to current requirements and published free of charge in the VGBE Standard VGBE-S-002 series in several languages.

Dr Oliver Then, vgbe Executive Managing Director, thanks the honoured for their valuable work and trustful cooperation. The following committee members have had a special influence on the work of the committee, in some cases for over 30 years:
