Representatives from Mahagenco, India’s largest state-owned power plant operator, visited the vgbe on 6 May 2026, to learn about the German energy system and the challenges it faces. The group was led by Mahagenco’s Chairman and Managing Director, Balasubramanian Radhakrishnan.
The increased flexibility of coal-fired power plants was a central topic during the exchange of experiences. Various areas for potential collaboration – ranging from further expert meetings to simulator training – were identified.
The tour, organized by Steag Energy Service (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Iqony Solutions GmbH, also included power plant tours, workshops, and a visit to the IFAT trade fair.
