We’re excited to announce that the vgbe PV Faults and Failures Database (PVFF) is now live! This initiative was developed within the vgbe Technical Competence Center “Future Energy Systems in the vgbe Technical Committee “Photovoltaics” and was implemented by our dedicated vgbe IT team.
The database is tailored to member needs and offers a user-friendly interface for tracking important PV system failures.
The PVFF is currently available as an internal tool for TC members and is directly populated by them. It’s designed to capture significant faults, those impacting safety, performance, or the environment. By collecting and clustering damage data, we can build a practical basis for maintenance decisions and risk assessment.
With each new entry, the value of the database grows—helping operators learn from each other and move toward more predictive and cost-efficient maintenance.
We invite vgbe members to join our Technical Committee to contribute and benefit from this evolving resource. Let’s make the most of our shared experience!
