Being the international technical association for the entire electricity, heat and hydrogen generation and storage sector, vgbe bundles common tasks and interests of its members. Technical issues of energy plant operators, manufacturers, service providers as well as research and development are in the focus of vgbe’s fields of activity. In addition, vgbe coordinates central activities of its member companies with government institutions and other partners in international cooperation and worldwide presence.
In the past, the wide-ranging topics and focal points of vgbe´s work, including VGB Research Foundation as well as vgbe energy service GmbH, were presented in detail in VGB´s annual reports.
After the association´s relaunch – according to the motto “Future meets tradition” – from VGB to vgbe was completed on the occasion of the 101-year anniversary of the association in September 2021, we also present the association’s activities of a previous year in a new look. With a new design, the highlights and particularly important aspects of the vgbe group’s activities are outlined in a more flexible and focused way, clearly showing what the vgbe community achieves through joint activities and approaches.
Reporting from each individual committee has been replaced in favour of more detailed success stories from the individual technical competence centres. Detailed information on committee work and individual projects can still be obtained from vgbe office.
