230 participants took part in the webinar \u201dMinimum Load Operation of Thermal Power Stations\u201c on August 12, 2024. That webinar marked the start of a total of four online events planned on the topic of \u201dFlexibilisation of Existing Thermal Power Plants\u201d, organised by the the Excellence Enhancement Centre (EEC<\/a>) for Indian Power Sector, the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ<\/a>) GmbH, Siemens Energy<\/a> and vgbe. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In the seminars, experts from Siemens (Dr Bernhard Meerbeck, Denis Tschetschik and Ian Rebello) and vgbe (Dr Claudia Weise) report on measures which are particularly suitable for flexibilisation. These include, above all, optimisation of control technology as shown by numerous studies. One of these is the study \u201dGuidelines for Flexible Operation of Coal-fired Power Plants in India\u201c, which summarises the results of several flexibility studies and test runs at the NTPC Dadri and Simhadri power plants, the Maithon power plant operated by Tata Power and the DVC Andal power plant. These projects were carried out under the auspices of the Indo-German energy<\/a> partnership, which also forms the framework for the webinar series. <\/p>\n
